Standing at 4" tall, these candles holders are a perfect match for our church tapers.  They are meant for use in one's home icon corner to adorn the holy images.    The double headed eagle is a  symbol common in many Byzantine churches.  It dates back to the time when the Byzantine Empire was still thriving,  it represents the two powers of both church and state.  And of course what can be said to describe the Theotokos, the Ever Virgin Mary.  Nothing.
